While still in college, I had the opportunity to lead the Unison dimmer project at ETC. From inception to production I was intimately involved in everything from the dimming code, to the hardware architecture to the paint, oh the paint!
The Original Cardboard
The key to Unison, and why you'll find in so many places is modularity. 6, 12, 24 modules, 100-277V, delta and wye; all with the same hardware and firmware.
Certification
While certification testing is often seen as a burden, taken seriously, it will provide answers to some of your most difficult questions.
First Installation
Our first installation was at the Las Vegas Convention Center. No doubt it's been long torn down.
Las Vegas Convention Center
One of the first installatitons of Unison. This was a very high profile installation with 100's of fixtures and dozens of dimmer racks.
Royal Opera House
The Royal Opera House has been a long time user of Unison having installed the original system and then upgrading in 2011.
